I want to give iAspire a try. What’s the best way of doing this?
I see the iAspire demo forms, but I want to use my own. How can I do this?
We will gladly customize iAspire for you, including your own observation forms, our demo forms, or some combination thereof. Additionally we import your staff members so they are selectable at the top of your forms. This makes the observation process quicker for you as you select your staff instead of typing their names manually.

Can I add teachers/faculty at any time?
If you add new faculty, or some faculty leave, just send us an email. We will add your new faculty members to your account and delete those who move for you!
Be sure to include the name and email of your new faculty. For those leaving, just let us know their names.
Can my teachers login to iAspire? Or is it observers only?
Your teachers can login to iAspire, but unless they are setup to complete peer observations (or observe in some other capacity) they will not be able to complete any observations. Teachers’ iAspire screens will look identical to observers, but they are not allowed to complete an observation. They can view their previously submitted observations through Open Saved Document, and they can view reports through our powerful reporting.
How do I start a new observation?
On your iAspire home screen, you will see four buttons, with the first being Start New Document. Simply click on Start New Document, select your form, select your choices from your customized dropdown choices, and begin your observation!
What kind of forms can I have created?
iAspire is completely customizable, so you can have any type of form created that you like! We have schools using iAspire for IEP Compliance Audits, Functional Behavior Analysis and Behavior Improvement Plans, rubrics, and many more types of forms. If you can dream it, we can create it!
I am told my 30 day trial has ended. What do I do now?
We allow for a 30 day free trial of iAspire so you can better understand what it looks and feels like to complete an observation using iAspire. Contact us at 1-877-73-iAspire or email@example.com to let us customize iAspire for you. We will create your custom observation forms, import your teachers, and setup your reporting so you can have everything you need for observations at your fingertips.
Can I add pictures and videos to the observation forms?
Adding various types of media can be a great way to target teacher growth, elicit conversation, and provide exemplars. iAspire allows you to take videos and pictures from within the app itself. You can also add various other files, such as audio files, articles, etc through our powerful file browser and uploading system.
The teacher then receives these attachments upon viewing his/her observation feedback.
To add a picture or video, click on Choose File, Take Photo or Video, Use Photo/Video, and click on upload file. You must click upload file for the media to be sent to the teacher.
How do I send observation feedback to the teacher?
At the end of your observation you will click the Submit button found at the bottom of the observation form. This will send the observation feedback directly to you and the teacher via email. Watch for an email from firstname.lastname@example.org. This email will include a custom link to view the observation data.
Can I save an observation and finish it later?
Absolutely! At the bottom of your observation form you will see two buttons: Save progress and Submit form. Clicking on Save progress will save all entered data, allowing you to finish your current observation at a later time.
To complete a previously saved observation, simply click on Open Saved Document from the home screen, navigate to the form you previously saved, and click on Resume. This will load your previously started observation form and all the data you entered.
How do I view reports?
On the home screen there are four buttons. Select the third button down, Reports.
Select the date range you are requesting, and the form from which you would like to view collected observation data. Finally add filters to view specific data. For example, you can view your 5th grade teachers’ data, all data collected during math lessons, a particular school’s data, etc. You can add a variety of filters to view specific sets of data as needed. Click Apply Changes to view your filtered data and Remove to see your data without this filter.
**By default your data will be shown with a date range of the last 9 weeks, comments will not be collapsed by default, and your graphs will show frequency and totals by default. This can be changed in the Settings page.
When I click on Reports, I see what appears to be a static picture. How do I view my collected data?
If you see the image below when you click on Reports, you are logged in as a trial account. This image shows you a sample of what the reporting looks like in iAspire.
If you have a customized account with us, you will instead be able to view your collected data instead of this sample. The collected data is great to be able to view trends over time and provide targeted professional development.
There are a lot of observations in Open Saved Document. How can I organize them?
The Open Saved Document page includes a number of ways you can sort submitted and saved observations. Each column heading is sortable alphabetically and reverse alphabetically. If you are looking for a certain teacher, subject, etc., sometimes it’s easiest if you click on the column heading as this will sort the text in this column.
You will know a column is sorted when there is a blue triangle – notice the triangle by Last Submitted. These observations are sorted by date starting with the oldest observations on top.
Can I delete an observation?
If you need to delete an observation, just send an email to email@example.com or complete a help ticket in the Settings page. Let us know the date of the observation, the observer, and the teacher. We’ll take care of the rest.
Do you have a help-ticket system built into iAspire?
Yes we do! If you click on Settings, you will see a row with Find a bug? Need help? Contact us! Click on the Contact us! button, enter a subject, and the support you need. We will fix your issue as soon as possible!
I signed up for an account, but I don’t remember my password. What should I do?
On the login screen of iAspire you will see a Forgot Password? link on the bottom left of the login screen. To reset your password, simply click on this button, follow the directions, and you will be able to login again with your new password!
